Taku Yamaumi is Partner and Head of Japan of L Catterton Real Estate, based in Tokyo. He leads its efforts mainly in Japan and has over 30 years of real estate investment and development experience. Yamaumi joined Groupe Arnault/LVMH in 2006, which eventually became L Catterton Real Estate.

Before joining L Catterton Real Estate, he worked at LaSalle Investment Management in Tokyo, handling acquisitions ranging from office, hotel, retail and logistics assets. Before, he spent over a decade at Tokyo Tatemono, where he was in charge of structuring investment in mixed-use development, residential and retail with institutional foreign and domestic investors. He was also in charge of investment opportunities in Asian countries, including Southeast Asia. He started his career in asset management with a specific focus on residential, hotel and resort developments.

Yamaumi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Law from Keio University and is licensed in Japan as a Real Estate Consultant and Broker.
